Rio Tinto AutoHaul - OnBoard

Project Overview

As part of the Rio Tinto AutoHaul Project, DCI Electrical Services were contracted to Ansaldo-STS to fit out all 175 GE EVO & Dash 9 Locomotives. The works included harness manufacturing at the Perth workshop, to mechanical and electrical fit-outs at the 8 mile facility, to testing and commissioning services on site.

 

Scope of Work
  • Integrated locomotive on-board systems.
  • Harness manufacture wiring.
  • Mechanical and electrical fit-out of locos.
  • Additional signalling at load out loop and rail yard handover points.
  • Installation of supplied location cases and equipment bases.
  • Additional level crossing protection.
  • Final commissioning and testing.
