The AutoHaul project is the worlds’ first automated, long distance, heavy haul rail network to optimize the volume intake
and efficiency of iron ore. The project is a key contribution to the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Rail Capacity Enhancement Project.
A collaboration between Downer EDI Limited and Mouchel in 2008 formed to deliver integrated asset management and
maintenance services under the Main Roads Western Australia Integrated Services Arrangements (ISA)s to ensure the
safe operations and management of road network operations.
John Holland has been awarded a $257 million subcontract for railway expansion at the Roy Hill iron ore mine. The project
will employ roughly 300 tradesmen throughout the duration of the contract.
An additional 400 metre wharf extension with two berths is to be added to Cape Lambert’s current 1.4 kilometre wharf and
two sided berth. This construction will put Cape Lambert as the largest export capacity port owned by Rio Tinto.
Fortescue’s US$2.4 billion port construction expansion project in Port Hedland employed 1200 construction workers in an
attempt to optimise the iron ore handling volume and efficiency.
Roy Hill is currently operating a 55 million tonne per annum iron ore mining, rail, and port project. The rail sector involves a
344km standard gauge, single line, heavy haul railway to transport iron ore from the mine to port facilities.
RCR is a leading multi-disciplined engineering company providing energy, resources, and infrastructure services. RCR
Infrastructure services consists of the electrical instrumentation, control systems, and distribution for resource and
infrastructure divisions. RCR is currently supplying structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical construction services.
Ansaldo STS is responsible for the A$240m railway extension project from Clarkson to Butler. The project involves a
7.5km extension, with Ansaldo implementing a rail signalling system to ensure safe separation between trains and
monitoring of route integrity, train braking, and speed limits.
St Joseph's Church was established over 100 years ago and continues to thrive as monumental building in the heart of
Brookfield Rail manages and operates 5, 500 kilometres of open access multi-user rail freight throughout WA. Brookfield
Rail has invested over A$1.2 billion over the last five years to build reliable and robust transport infrastructure.
Adelaide Metro is an extensive transport system consisting of bus, train, and tram services throughout the greater
DCI Electrical Services assisted in the fit out of all 175 GE EVO & Dash 9 locomotives on the RTIO Autohaul OnBoard
project. This involved harness manufacturing at the Perth workshop, to mechanical fit-outs at the 8 mile facility in Karratha,
to testing and commissioning services on site.
Under client West Force Construction, DCI Electrical Services assisted in electrical installations, light fixings,
bathroom fit-outs, cable installations, and electrical testing works at Water Corporation's Beenyup Waste Water Treatment
Contracted under UGL, DCI Electrical Services assisted in electrical wiring and testing installations at UGL's
Perth workshop and in rail crossing and signalling upgrades at FMG site in Kalgoorlie.
