FMG T155 Rail Expansion

Project Overview

Fortescue Metals Group undertook an expansion project to triple the size of its operations taking it to 155 million tonnes per annum. Part of this project saw the duplication of 120 km's of main line from Port Hedland, construction of a new 130 km rail spur on the Solomon hub, and construction of four new bridges and two new rail loops to deliver iron to Herb Elliot Port.
